Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, in percentages of 90, 5 & 5. These types of wines are a mouthful. Personally I fell most drinkers do not know how to serve them properly. They need serious decanting at the correct temperatures. By correct I mean, 58 degrees Fahrenheit, and then they start to drink in the region of 60-62. Nimes has a warm med type climate, with many meso-climatic conditions. There are all types of idiosyncratic moods in the weather, but warmth is one of the elements required to make the best Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre. Spicey, peppery, dark black fruit on the nose, cassis, boysenberry, a hint or vanilla bean and real licorice cane. This wine is a beauty, however, please decant properly, otherwise you will not get the real beauty which underlines the masses of structure. Thank you.
